Housing Services is a dynamic and proactive Shared Services team across Wychavon and Malvern Hills districts. We are currently looking to expand our service and have a number of exciting opportunities within our team.

Housing Research and Projects Officer

£23,866 - £27,358 per annum

Working as part of the Housing Service, this exciting role provides the opportunity to be part of a forward thinking and innovative team.

We are looking to recruit a Housing Research and Projects Officer. This role is to undertake research and develop recommendations to help inform and shape the service. It will also include co-ordinating and undertaking consultation activities for the Joint Housing Service. As well as developing and co-ordinating a range of project work for the Joint Housing Service, with a view to service improvement

The key requirements of the post are:

  • Experience of working in a Housing Environment.
  • Experience of carrying out research and presenting findings through reports and/or presentations and developing associated projects.
  • Experience of undertaking consultation activity.
  • Sound knowledge/expertise in consultation principles and techniques.
  • General understanding of the public sector.

Key Skills and Experience needed for this post include;

  • Strong research skills
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex data from multiple different sources.
  • Excellent numeracy and statistical skills
  • Good IT skills and ability to use a range of relevant software packages such as mapping and survey software.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare and present high quality reports for a range of audiences.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Able to work well with a wide range of people including managers, partners and contractors.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work on own initiative
