WME has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our small but high- performing team, working with our Finance Officer and Head of Finance & Governance in providing a full range of financial services across our organisation.
WME is a not for profit organisation owned by 32 of the region’s local authorities. We are at the heart of local government supporting Councils in their role as employers. We operate a commercially focused business and our team of 20+ staff deliver a wide range of key services (including WMJobs) to support the development of a strong public sector workforce.
You will have an opportunity to work closely with our business services hub in supporting our wider team and will work across all aspects of day to day accounting including sales, purchase and cash ledgers, liaising with customers, and suppliers. WME’s business environment relies heavily on the use of online systems and software and you will work with systems such as Sageline 50 and Sage CRM as well as online banking and reporting to HMRC, so experience of working with such systems is essential.
