Section Manager: Highways
Warwickshire’s success in attracting economic development is driving a substantial programme of transport infrastructure improvements. Design Services is the County Council's professional civil engineering consultancy responsible for delivering a growing workload of highway improvement schemes funded by the County Council and partner agencies and developers.
The expansion of our business has caused us to significantly increase in size and this has led us to restructure the group and reinforce the leadership team managing our operations
37.0 Hours per Week
We are looking to appoint suitably experienced and qualified civil engineers to join us to manage a growing workload of highways and bridges projects.
We are recruiting for three posts; Section Manager posts available in three areas:
• Highways - External Design Construction, and Technical Review
• Highways - Bridges and Structures
• Highways - Programme & Project Management
You will be welcome to apply for more than one of these posts. You should indicate clearly which of the posts you are interested in. If selected for interview you will only have to attend one interview.
You will be a Chartered Engineer (or be able to demonstrate competences at that level) with experience of leading technical teams and managing highway or bridge projects.
In addition to strong people and communication skills, you will be expected to have appropriate specialist knowledge in at least one of three areas: highway design and construction, bridge and structural design and construction, or programme and project management (PRINCE 2).
