The Governors at Wollescote Primary School wish to appoint a passionate, reliable and resourceful person with excellent DIY skills to the position of Caretaker / Site Manager.

School Caretaker / Site Manager (with 3 bedroom detached house residential property)

The Caretaker is responsible for a wide range of buildings maintenance, site security and health and safety responsibilities connected with the day to day running and operation of the school building and grounds.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills. They will have a calm and friendly manner and will be able to interact in a professional manner with children, parents, staff, contractors and council officers.

They will be responsible for the operation, management and development of systems and procedures relating to buildings and grounds maintenance, swimming pool maintenance, cleanliness of site and health and safety.

They will manage a team of cleaners and an Assistant Caretaker.

This is a residential position, the school grounds include a three bedroom detached property. The Caretaker / Site Manager will be expected to live onsite. The successful candidate will be employed 37 hours per week, working a shift basis between the core hours of 6:30am (open site) and 6:30pm (close site). Additional overtime payments will be paid for swimming pool and school lettings.

Qualifications relating to plumbing, carpentry or electrics although not essential, would be desirable.
