ICT Project Manager

Birmingham City Council is undergoing significant transformation in the way it delivers its I,T&D services. A major strand of this is moving from the current joint venture service model. Support is needed to shape, manage and deliver this change so that Birmingham City Council is provided with 21st Century capabilities across it’s I,T&D services.
Working 36.50 Hours per week, reporting to the Head of ICT Programmes the ICT Project Manager role is:
- Responsible for the delivery of assigned Projects and Technical Workstreams authorised through the I,T&D Governance Process (2x general ICT projects and 1x GDPR specific work)
- To ensure solutions are coordinated, managed and delivered to agreed times and costs, using recognised project management standards and techniques, to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and
realise the projected benefits.
- Collaborating with and supporting Birmingham City Council operational services partners and suppliers to meet targets for operational effectiveness, efficiency and value for money by exploiting innovative products, services and solutions to deliver business and Citizen benefit.
