Side by Side is a specialist Dementia service which provides care to individuals who live in their own home. The service is registered with the Care Quality Commission and operates from Wildwood. This service is provided across the county with teams operating in specific areas. We are seeking staff to work in the North and South of the county (North - Wyre Forest, Redditch & Bromsgrove) (South – Worcester, Droitwich, Malvern, Evesham & Pershore).

As a member of the team you will provide care for a variety of service users, provide personal care, administer medication, liaise with the Homecare call centre, GP's and other professionals. The aim of the service is to provide a flexible service which supports individuals to remain in their homes and be part of their communities for as long as they wish.

The service is provided from 07.00 to 22.00. It is centrally managed through a Call Centre based in Worcester, which is open from 06.30 to 22.00. The post holder would complete their hours working seven days in a fortnight.

We offer comprehensive training for people this includes a two week program of induction and shadowing. All training is paid for and we also pay mileage to staff that attend courses.

We have paid holiday above the statuary legal requirement and there is an 8% enhancement paid for weekend working. Employees also have the opportunity to enrol in the local government pension scheme.

You should have the ability to travel independently, work autonomously and be a good team player. You need to have good communication skills, an understanding of the feelings matter's most approach and a commitment to maintaining the health, safety and well-being of service users in their own home.
