The post of SIMS Development Officer will support the SIMS Manager in delivering the SIMS Service Level Agreement and developing and implementing strategies for management of SIMS across schools. He/she will be the first point of contact for Schools on a range of SIMS issues and projects.

The post involves the delivery of SIMS training and guidance to school staff in meeting with their management information needs and includes regular contact with LA staff at all levels, Headteachers, Teachers, School Support staff and Governors. We are looking for someone with good communication skills as well as previous experience in the use of SIMS, and a strong commitment to the delivery of service.

• On-site SIMS consultation, software support and training.

• First line point of contact to Schools to deliver advice, support and training on SIMS Assessment, Profiles, Performance Analysis, Curriculum, Academic and Timetabling areas.

• Lead on projects for the delivery of bespoke SIMS Assessment systems.

• The delivery of effective, efficient advice to support schools and their governing bodies in relation to meeting their statutory obligations.

• Supporting Headteachers and Senior Leaders in schools on the development and effective use of SIMS.

The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service, communication skills and be able to work with an audience on a number of levels. Candidate should ideally have previous experience of working in an education environment and experience of using SIMS.
