Dudley MBC's Audit Services is a small team of friendly professional staff that provides high quality internal audit and fraud services to the Council and Schools/Academies.

The team is well respected in the Council by both Senior Managers and Members and is always looking to develop innovative ways of working.

We are a team that is customer focused, but also focused on achieving budgets and producing work to time and to the highest standard.

We are fully committed to complying with the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards, which has been confirmed via an external quality assessment.

Hours: 37 per week

Salary:  Grade 11 (£37,676 - £40,454) per annum

Location: Council House, Priory Road, Dudley

We are looking for an Principal Auditor with a least two years post qualification experience whose main duties involve planning and undertaking a wide range of audits and other special projects, including the supervision of staff.

You must hold a professional qualification (CCAB or CMIIA) and be able to demonstrate a wide range of internal auditing experience.

You will also:

- have the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) 

- be able to deliver audits to time and budget 

- be customer focused, enthusiastic and committed to providing a quality audit service.

- need to have good time management, organisational and computer skills.

- be required to commute to locations within the Dudley Borough

-  have delivered complex audits to professional standards

-  have experience of supervising/managing staff
