Care Manager - Permanent
Term Time only – 38 weeks + 7.3 weeks paid holiday
37 hours per week, rolling 3 week shift pattern

Salary - £28,131-£30,331 - prorated for hours and weeks worked
Based in Coventry, we specialise in providing excellent education and support to learners with diverse and complex needs, including Autism. Our staff are committed to enabling learners to reach their potential and fulfil their ambitions.
Hereward College has a 29 bed residential facility catering for young adults with disabilities. We are looking for the right candidate to provide high quality care and support services that enable our residents to live the lives they chose as far as they are able. You will be working with a dedicated team of support staff, ensuring the safe delivery of the service in line with legislative requirements, policy and procedure. You will efficiently manage the running of the provision, allocate resources and monitor performance to deliver high quality care to learners. Manage all aspects of the staff team and provide sound leadership to ensure staff are clear about their respective duties and responsibilities and have the support they need to carry out their roles safely.
You should have a functional understanding of CQC and implement quality management and improvement systems. You will need to work flexibly, operating on a shift basis. You will need to devise, monitor and assess care plans and risk assessments. Consistently apply excellent communication skills with learners, their families and representatives, staff and other health and social care professionals.
To apply you will need to have a Registered Managers award and/or level 4 qualifications in care. It is essential that you have GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above in Maths and English. If you do not hold GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above in Maths and English, you will be required to undergo an assessment to determine you are operating at the required level.
You’ll need to be a team worker, with excellent communication, organisational and planning skills. You will need to have computer skills and have a positive, proactive, flexible approach to work with a strong commitment to excellence.
