Community Safety Project Officer
Can you solve problems? Can you design and deliver projects? Can you work in a multi discipline environment? Have you got experience in a crime and disorder related discipline?
This is an exciting time to join the Council’s Community Safety team, which has received substantial funding to design and implement a new public space CCTV scheme; and to design and deliver key projects including engaging marginalised young people with complex needs, drug related serious and organised crime and solutions to emerging crime and disorder trends.
We are looking for a self-starter with excellent organisational skills to take a lead role in developing and implementing critical projects up until 2020. As well as project management, your role will also encompass opportunities to develop creative solutions to address emerging trends, identification of grant funding opportunities and preparation of funding applications.
It is important that you have experience of successfully delivering projects, ideally within a community safety environment, although Prince II certification is not necessarily a requirement. You will be skilled at building relationships and gaining the trust and support of statutory partners, businesses and the community sector in order to get the best results for the community.
An enhanced Disclosure & Barring check is required for this position.
