King Edward VI Sheldon Heath Academy is a successful, vibrant, popular Academy serving its local community. We have a superb modern building, an extremely committed and hardworking staff group and highly motivated young people, it is a great place to be.

We seek a colleague to join our strong pastoral team to support our Heads of Year with the day to day management of students’ welfare and well-being. You will liaise with teachers and other staff to help secure a positive learning environment and ensure that all students reach their full potential. This role will involve working with students, parents and outside agencies and therefore you must have the confidence, experience and personal skills required to manage and prioritise a whole range of responsibilities.

Previous experience of working with young people is essential. For example you might have experience in schools, youth work or mentoring. You should also hold GCSE English and Mathematics at level 4 or above, or equivalent.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
