As one of our Neighbourhood Co-ordinators, you will act as a champion for the local area, making sure our residents understand what we can do for them to make our borough a cleaner, greener and safer place for all.

It’s a varied role and no two days are the same. Your responsibilities will range from inspecting highways to attending community meetings. You’ll deliver a host of local plans and projects in communities, while also working closely with the Police to resolve community safety issues.

Solving problems and identifying priorities within local neighbourhoods will be at the heart of all you do and along the way, you’ll forge strong links with councillors, retailers, businesses and other partners.

To join us, you’ll need a relevant Level 3 qualification or an equivalent amount of appropriate experience. We will certainly expect you to be able to manage small-scale community improvement programmes and look after their budgets. After all, you have a proven ability to work with communities and partner organisations to deliver improvements to neighbourhoods.

Your communication and relationship building skills will be key to delivering excellent customer services both to our residents and stakeholders

If you have any questions about this role, please contact Janet Hawkins on 0121 704 6834.

Please note that interviews will be held on Friday, 14 September 2018.

Please note we do not accept CV's.

Solihull Council has a responsibility for, and a commitment to, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk and requires all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
