Commissioning & Development Officer (Families & Communities)

Salary:  £36,153 - £39,961 per annum

37 Hours per week – Secondment/Fixed Term for 12 months 

Staffordshire County Council is seeking creative, dedicated and forward thinking individuals to join us as Commissioning & Development Officers on a secondment for twelve months to help us to shape and drive the future commissioning and delivery of children and families provision.

Reporting to a Commissioning Manager, the successful candidates will have a good level of experience in delivering commissioning and development programmes within an Early Years, Children’s Services or Public Health setting and will have knowledge of public sector services and practice, experience of change management, and the ability to develop positive relationships with people from a number of different organisations.

Staffordshire’s Children, Families & Safety Commissioning Team includes a diverse range of portfolios which includes:

  • Children’s Public Health
  • Early Years
  • Early Help/Family Support
  • Staffordshire’s Building Resilient Families & Communities Programme
  • Children With Disabilities/Complex Needs
  • Children’s Emotional Health & Wellbeing
  • Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
  • Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) & Missing Children
  • Commissioning of Looked After Children’s Services

We are looking for candidates with the flexibility and transferable skills to work across our diverse Children, Families & Safety Commissioning Team.

Staffordshire County Council is offering Commissioning & Development Officer opportunities on a 12 month secondment/fixed term contract. Candidates wishing to be seconded should seek permission of their Line Manager/employing organisation before applying.
