An opportunity has arisen to work in Strategic Commissioning within each of the following teams: Older People, Children’s and All Age Disability, to deliver a challenging portfolio of projects to secure our vision for vulnerable people. The Roles

Post 1: Commissioner Older People - Permanent

This is an exciting and varied role that requires a committed and intellectually agile commissioner to drive best value, best quality, joined up services for our most vulnerable citizens. This post is for a Commissioner with specific responsibility for the preventing falls programme, Quality assurance in commissioned provision, Assistive Technology, General Contract Management for Commissioned Services, Day Opportunities and Day Care provision.

Post 2: Commissioner Older People - Fixed Term 12 months to cover maternity leave.

This is a unique role that manages and monitors the ibcf initiatives within the older people Commissioning Team. The post is the key link in to the CCGs and the out of hospital collaborative with South Warwickshire Partnership Trust. Therefore experience of working in partnership with various stakeholders, such as CCGs and the third sector is essential.

Post 3: Integrated Disability Commissioner - All Age Disability Team - Fixed Term 12 months to cover maternity leave.

This is an interesting and varied role that will require a committed and experienced commissioner to deliver and support a number of projects within the All Age Disability portfolio. We have a busy schedule over the next 12 months and are committed to progressing an integrated commissioning approach for this population. Therefore, it is important that you are able to work successfully with a range of stakeholders to drive service redesign and in addition have specific responsibility for Autism provision, Advocacy across statutory health and social care; and general contract management for commissioned services.

Post 4: Commissioner Childrens - Fixed term for 12 months to cover a secondment.

This will be an interesting, enjoyable and varied role as it will support across the spectrum of commissioned areas including services for childrens in care, care leavers and children with disabilities. We have an exceptionally busy schedule over the next 12 months and as such will need a committed and experienced commissioner to work alongside colleagues to compliment their redesign work in addition to progressing the implementation, embedding and contract management of some recently awarded contracts.

Key Requirements

The post holder for each role will need to be skilled and experienced in partnership working with colleagues across the Council, Health and the Independent Care Sector; the post holder will have significant experience of all key aspects of the commissioning cycle and be committed to supporting vulnerable people to live a fulfilled life with the right support and guidance.
