Are you looking for a role in a small but busy team, that has been transforming the way it provides its service to Adult Social Care clients? If you are, this could be the ideal role for you.

Financial Operations Support Assistants require excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to organise and prioritise their own workload with minimal supervision. The role involves problem solving by analysing information on different computer systems and responding to all telephone and written enquiries, as well as resolving client invoice queries and disputes. The ability to remain calm and focussed on the task to be completed is essential as you will be dealing with a wide range of internal and external customers.

The role involves inputting financial assessment information in to the Adult Social Care computer system Caredirector and notifying clients of charges for residential care, home care packages and Housing with Care. We also provide information and advice about how charges are calculated in line with Department of Health's Care and Statutory Support guidance as well as the City Council's non-residential charging policy.

Knowledge of welfare benefits such as Pension Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Disability Living Allowance, Personal Independence Allowance as well as Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support would be an advantage.
