A major change in Housing legislation sees the Homelessness Reduction Act come into force from 1st April 2018. This has created the need to introduce a brand new team focussed on preventing homelessness. You will need the ability to be creative and solution focussed to ensure we are offering practical relevant advice and guidance to everyone with a housing need.
To review cases and decisions by Housing and Homelessness Prevention Officers ensuring that legislation has been correctly applied.
You will need excellent written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to manage your own workload within specific time frames.
You will be investigating cases and complaints so should be confident in questioning both team members and customers alike before coming to a decision.
Knowledge of Housing and Homelessness legislation is essential.
37 hours per week - fixed term until 2020
