This is a full time, temporary post for up to 12 months, covering maternity leave.
You will be working with Stoke-on-Trent City Council tenants who are facing financial hardship and who are affected by Welfare Reform measures such as the Social Sector Size Criteria (Bedroom Tax), Universal Credit or the Benefit Cap.
You will conduct home visits, offering advice and support to help maximise income, give personal budgeting advice and to make arrangements for housing debt (rent arrears).
You must have excellent communication skills, knowledge of welfare reform and have experience of dealing with customers face to face and be able conduct complex and sensitive interviews.
