Customer Services Advisor
Fixed Term Contract initially for 6 months
The Private Rented Sector (PRS) Service ensures that private rented homes in Birmingham meet legal requirements for health and safety and provides advice and support for tenants and landlords.
Recently the team has successfully been awarded funding from the Controlling migration Fund to tackle the exploitation by rogue landlords in the PRS by targeting intelligence led enforcement activity. The bid also seeks to work with the third sector.
You will have the ability to work in a fast paced customer service environment and be a positive self motivated person with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of Housing Legislation and the policies and procedures relating to the Private Rented Sector.
Experience of working in a procedural requirement.
Demonstrate accurate communication skills (oral and written) at all levels including colleagues, outside agencies, other customers/clients.
Ability to listen and talk to customers, to understand their problems and queries and take appropriate action
Ability to act confidently when dealing with difficult situations.
Ability to input and interpret information from a range of computer packages.
Ability to take minutes and write grammatically correct correspondence and standard reports.
