Salary: £36,153.00 - £39,961.00 per annum
37 Hours per week – Secondment until July 2020
Staffordshire County Council on behalf of the North Midlands Regional Adoption & Permanency Partnership is seeking two creative, dedicated, forward thinking and experienced individuals to join us, as Regional Commissioning & Development Officers, on our journey to creating an outstanding; outcome focused regional permanency arrangement across Staffordshire, Stoke on Trent, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
The North Midlands Regional Adoption & Permanency Partnership is seeking to establish an enhancement of a standard Regional Adoption Agency (RAA) through the development of a regional permanency arrangement which includes Adoption, Fostering, Special Guardianship and Connected Persons. It is our ambition that we will create a permanency system which operates on a regional footprint, maximising resources, capacity and flexibility, leading to improvements in effective practice and long term outcomes for our looked after children. Improving outcomes for our Looked After Children is central to everything we do.
Reporting to the Regional Commissioning & Development Lead, the successful candidates will have a good level of experience in delivering commissioning and development programmes within a Children’s Services setting and will have knowledge of public sector services and practice, experience of change management, and the ability to develop positive relationships with people from a number of different organisations. The successful candidates will share our ambition to improve outcomes for our Looked After Children.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within Permanency, Care Planning, Fostering, Adoption, Connected Persons and Special Guardianship and will have a good working knowledge and understanding of the current legislation and frameworks relevant to Children Social Care and Permanency.
The successful candidates will be based in Stafford with the Children’s Commissioning Development Team (Staffordshire County Council) but will be required to work across Staffordshire, Stoke on Trent, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. The County Council also operates an agile-working scheme.
Staffordshire County Council (on behalf of our partnership) is offering these posts on a secondment until July 2020. Candidates should seek permission of their employing organisation before applying.
