This is an exciting opportunity to join Therapy Services team based at the Opal Centre. We currently have a vacancy for Therapy Assistant within the Occupational Therapy service area.

We are looking to recruit a worker who is enthusiastic and can build professional trusting relationships with service users their carers and other stakeholders. Confident in working closely with service users with a wide range of disabilities and managing a demanding case load. You will work across all therapy service areas.

This is a great opportunity to work in a diverse supportive team whose focus is on enabling individuals to achieve optimum control of their lives, through the process of therapy intervention.
Using assessment tools and intervention plans you will work with service user’s and carers. Your role will be to carry out assessments both in the person’s own home, the Opal Centre face to face and desk top.

Using an outcome focused approach you will provide therapy interventions such as:

• Disability equipment
• Housing adaptations
• Blue badge’s
• Practise of a daily living task.

We are looking to recruit staff who have the ability to seek out all relevant information, consider and think through issues, analyse and use clear reasoning before deciding upon appropriate course action.

The majority of the team do have a background of working in health or social care. We welcome applications from people that have worked in other allied sectors.
