Staffordshire County Council Adult Learning Disability Team is looking dynamic Advanced Practitioners to join the Cannock and Lichfield team.
This is an exciting management development opportunity and as an Advanced Practitioner, you are in a supervisory position, advising both Qualified and Unqualified staff and our focus is on Strengths Based Conversations and excellent evidenced based practice.
We are looking for candidates who are Social Worker qualified with previous experience in directing and supervising staff along with the ability and confidence to support and lead others. You will have in depth post qualification experience of working successfully with adults in a social care and health setting ideally with people with a learning disability. Experience working in complex and high risk situations, making autonomous decisions and authorising assessments, including Best Interest Assessments, with an ability to resolve competing deadlines
We would be looking to be for individuals with a skill base that included the ability to be an effective negotiator and influence others, work on building effective relationships with customers, staff, the public and other MDT professionals. Partnership and inter-agency working, chairing complex inter-agency meetings would also be desirable but not essential
