Neighbourhood Officer

Salary: £20,541 - £29,055 pro rata

Three days a week

(6 month temporary contract)

 

Based at Endeavour House, Solihull, the Neighbourhood Services Team is committed to developing a stronger and safer community for all our tenants and leaseholders. 

The post holder will be responsible for providing a generic housing service within a defined area which includes dealing with anti-social behaviour (ASB) and tenancy management issues. You will be required to proactively work in partnership with other service areas within Solihull Community Housing, Solihull Council, the Police and other partners and support agencies within the locality.. 

Whilst one of the key aims of this role will be to modify behaviour and provide support to both perpetrators and victims of ASB, you will be required to take enforcement action using all the tools and powers available to you under the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014 and represent SCH in Court. 

The post holder will be expected to have a sound knowledge and experience of managing the following tenancies and agreements: secure, introductory, fixed term, assured (non-short hold), non-secure, licence, and leasehold. 

You will be confident and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to form positive relationships with customers, colleagues and partner agencies.

You will have a high standard of literacy; you will be able to work under pressure, be able to manage challenging priorities and be proficient with I.T. and written communications. 

The post holder must be able to drive, have access to a car and have a clean driving licence.
