General Assistant: Nuneaton Library
5.5 hours per week, every Saturday at Nuneaton Library and additional Sundays at Nuneaton Library on a rota basis.
Fixed term contract until June 2019
The role is often the first point of contact for all users of the library service. The post holder will be an integral part of the team ensuring a positive experience for customers of all ages. The role of the General Assistant involves participating in direct service delivery and support, including shelving, assisting customers, the active promotion of books, reading and events. The post includes answering enquiries and giving IT and signposted assistance to all users of the service.

- Good numeracy and literacy which includes the ability to work with decimal numbers and the ability to sort alphabetically.
- Experience of dealing with members of the public in a customer service environment.
- Experience of using ICT and Windows based computer packages.
