The Council has an incredibly diverse property portfolio of 770 assets with approximately 1 million sq m and a total asset value of £737m. The Council’s Property Services Business Unit is responsible for the management, investment and operation of the Council’s land and property portfolio in order to ensure that the Council’s land and buildings are fully supporting our service needs.

The Roles

We are looking for 4 roles in the Asset Management team;  

  • Asset Management Surveyor - Education (£33,136 £35,229)
  • Asset Management Surveyor (£33,136 £35,229)
  • Asset Management Team Leader (£41,392 £46,909)
  • Property Acquisitions & Disposals Team Leader (£47,512 £53,845)

Key Requirements

Asset Management Surveyor - Education

The successful candidate will possess proven experience in a general practice surveying role across an education property portfolio, preferably with experience of commissioning professional property services in an intelligent client role. We are seeking an individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and who is proactive, flexible and adaptable. It is expected that candidates will possess an appropriate degree-level qualification and be qualified as a Chartered Surveyor.


Asset Management Surveyor 

The successful candidate will possess proven experience in a general practice surveying role across a diverse property portfolio, preferably with experience of commissioning professional property services in an intelligent client role. We are seeking an individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and who is proactive, flexible and adaptable. It is expected that candidates will possess an appropriate degree-level qualification and be qualified as a Chartered Surveyor.


Asset Management Team Leader 

The successful candidate will be an experienced team leader with proven experience of formulating and implementing plans, processes and procedures for asset management. We are seeking an individual with excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills and who is proactive, focused and organised. It is expected that candidates will possess an appropriate degree-level qualification and be qualified as a Chartered Surveyor.

Property Acquisitions & Disposals Team Leader

 The successful candidate will possess proven experience in the formulation of property acquisition and disposal strategic proposals and implementation of those plans. We are seeking an individual with excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills and who is proactive, entrepreneurial and highly motivated.  It is expected that candidates will possess an appropriate degree-level qualification and be qualified as a Chartered Surveyor.
