An opportunity has arisen within the Benefits Service for a Subsidy Support Officer. This role will support the Senior Team Manager to ensure that Housing Benefit calculations and the subsidy claim are made in accordance with audit requirements and relevant legislation.


Duties will include:
• Monitoring areas of Housing Benefit payments where a loss of subsidy may occur, and taking
   appropriate action
• Carrying out project work and developing procedures to improve accuracy within the service
• Giving one to one guidance and feedback to officers

We are looking for a self-motivated person with a detailed knowledge of Housing Benefits legislation. You will have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to a high level of accuracy.

We, the Benefits Service are responsible for assessing Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support for the citizens of Coventry.
