Children and Young Peoples Worker
Murray Hall Community Trust (MHCT) is a voluntary organisation and registered charity. We were established in 1994, and are one of the leading health and wellbeing charities in the Black Country and Birmingham and specifically Sandwell.
We are currently seeking to recruit the following:
Children & Young People’s Worker
Scale 5 (£19,621 - £21,519) pro rata
25 hours per week
Contract fixed term until August 2020 subject to continuation funding
Looking Forward is a service which seeks to improve the emotional resilience of vulnerable families (at risk of poor mental health) who fall below the threshold of mental health statutory services. The service seeks to improve the wellbeing of children and young people who have a history of domestic violence, abuse, separation and loss.
The role of the Children & Young People’s Worker is to engage and support Children and Young people through their journey with Looking Forward by providing service assessments and face to face interventions and evaluations.
We are looking for committed, enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to assist and support the delivery of all therapeutic interventions. You must be an effective and empathetic communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
