Mathematics Teacher

A qualified teacher with experience of delivering functional skills and GCSE level courses in mathematics required for a pupil referral unit for 11-16 year olds in Solihull.

Salary

MPR/UPR. School teachers’ pay and conditions.

Incremental progression is subject to performance.

About the Role

Summerfield Education Centre caters for students aged 11 – 16 who, for a variety of reasons, do not currently access mainstream provision.

We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled classroom practitioner who can secure good outcomes for our students.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will be capable of teaching the specified subject to GCSE level.

A commitment to providing high standards of teaching and learning experiences for all students, enthusing, motivating and encouraging their development is required. The ability to forge positive relationships with challenging students is an essential quality.

Reliability, good personal and organisational skills, the capacity to work effectively as part of a team and independently and the ability to communicate successfully with staff, parents and students are crucial to the role.

In addition, candidates should have relevant experience of meeting the needs of students with special educational needs and those who present with challenging behaviours.
