Better Together Project Social Workers/Senior Social Workers
Join us in Stoke on Trent to become Better Together!
At Stoke City Council we are passionate about and committed to ensuring that help and support is provided to vulnerable children and families in our City so that they can turn their lives around. As a result, we are investing in innovative projects that provide new solutions to long standing problems. We are delighted therefore to announce that Stoke-on-Trent City Council has received additional government funding to develop a child centred, co-ordinated multi-agency approach to safeguarding within school and nursery settings. Our Better Together Project will empower educational settings by providing them with the skills and support necessary to ensure that effective safeguarding arrangements are in place.
The Better Together Project
This is a two year Project which aims to create a skilled and supportive multi agency workforce which can deal with potential safeguarding concerns with confidence and escalate appropriate concerns, whilst providing lower level support to those who need it and preventing families from reaching crisis point. The Project will work seamlessly with our Early Intervention Teams ensuring that children and families achieve positive outcomes and that schools and nursery settings and Childrens Social Care deliver a seamless response to children and families who need us.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking 8 experienced and enthusiastic Social Workers, with experience of safeguarding, to work collaboratively with Head Teachers, Nursery Managers and Safeguarding Leads within Stoke-on-Trent and within a defined geographical area.
This is an opportunity that cannot be missed!!! so if you are interested in playing a key part in our project and looking forward to the opportunity of working with our partners, please contact Tracey Principal Child and Family Social Worker, for an informal discussion - firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01782 235969.
