£35,229 - £39,961 Job Ref:

37 Hours Per Week

Fixed Term Contracts to 30 June 2020

Wolverhampton is a Millennium City with a thousand years of history, located on the north western fringe of the West Midlands conurbation, with the beautiful countryside of Shropshire and Staffordshire on the doorstep and excellent transport links to Birmingham, London, Manchester and Liverpool.

Located between the City’s main shopping area and the new public transport interchange, Queen Street is one of Wolverhampton’s least changed streets but has suffered from years of decline.

In partnership with the Heritage Lottery fund, the Council is helping property owners to pay for the repair and enhancement of their buildings.

We are three years into a five year scheme and the first grant aided works are underway. With the imminent departure of the current Project Officer, we are looking for someone to take the reins and steer the scheme to a successful conclusion over the next two years.

If you are self-motivated and have the relevant qualifications and experience we would be very happy to hear from you.

If you wish to apply you are encouraged to phone Ian Holliday (Planning Section Leader), on 01902 555630, or Jon Beesley (Historic Environment Officer) on 01902 555622 or Stephen Alexander (Head of City Planning) on 01902 555610) for an informal conversation.

Interviews take place on 3rd October 2018
