Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is a small Council with big values. We are committed to ensuring our services are delivered to the highest possible standard and we put the customer at the forefront of everything we do. By working for us you will become part of the team and will play your part in serving our community.

We are currently recruiting for two Financial Planning Trainees to join our team and the ideal candidates will be committed to a career in finance. This role is a career graded one, so whether you are just starting your career within finance, or if you are already part qualified, this may be the role for you to progress further.

The role will be varied to include working with service managers to offer advice and guidance on budget management, completion of statutory returns and general assistance across the finance team. If you are not already part qualified, you should at least have some experience within a finance environment. Most important is your commitment to customer service and the development and improvement of services. In return, the Council will support you through your learning, ultimately progressing to a full CIPFA qualification.

Applications are welcome from candidates who may be part qualified and we would therefore ask that you note on your application form which level you are applying for.

As an employer, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council offers a wide range of benefits, including flexible working, Local Government Pension Scheme, generous holiday allowance and childcare vouchers.
