Senior Enforcement Officer
Birmingham is a brilliantly diverse, young and creative city.
It is the most entrepreneurial city outside of London, with the population set to grow by 150,000 by 2031. Birmingham is developing at pace, and so are we.
The Council’s Planning and Development team is already involved in major growth projects, committed to an ambitious 15-year growth strategy.
When you join us, you’ll work on some of the biggest and most exciting projects the city has ever seen. Think High Speed 2, Curzon, Commonwealth Games 2022, Birmingham Smithfield and many more. We’re developing 51,000 new homes and 1.5 million square metres of commercial, leisure and retail space. In all, £4bn infrastructure investment is planned. And the scale of projects is matched by the diversity.
We’re united by our goal of making a real difference to our community, and we have the resources and capability to make it happen.
Creating great things for Birmingham starts with creating great roles for talented people. And we’re now hiring.
You will be a vital part of the departments planning service managing a range of planning enforcement work including investigating breaches of planning, undertaking site visits, carrying out monitoring, serving notices, issuing cautions and being a witness at prosecutions. We are looking for candidates who are educated to degree level and with relevant experience and track record.
“Right to work in the UK documentation will be fully checked for all applicants. All non UK and non EU applicants are required to apply for a Certificate of Sponsorship from Birmingham City Council and must be approved by the UK Border Agency (UKBA) before any employment offer can be confirmed.”
You are required to complete the online application form with exception of the supporting statement section where a CV should be provided instead.
