Temporary contract until approximately September 2019

Tamworth Borough Council is working with the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership to deliver this key role to support businesses across Southern Staffordshire. Being the face of the local Growth Hub and the Council, the Growth Hub Advisor will visit and speak to local businesses in the Council areas of Tamworth, Lichfield, Cannock and East Staffordshire carrying out business diagnostics, and signposting businesses to relevant advice and assistance. The officer will raise the profile of their work by identifying, attending and holding local events with the support of the four local Councils.

The role will be varied, with the officer having to identify and contact businesses, visit business at their premises, write up diagnostics and identify the correct support for the business needs.

In order to succeed in this role, ideal candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills, be well organised, and have the ability to work confidently under their own initiative, responding promptly to the needs of businesses who may use the service, with a strong customer service ethic.
