Warwickshire is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join us on a permanent, full-time basis to take on and develop the newly established role of Warwickshire Social Care Lead for Education, Health, and Care Plans. 

This new role will be based within the SEND Social Care service; however, it will involve working across all children’s social work teams in the county. There is flexibility with regards to where the post holder will be based within Warwickshire.

The Role

37.0 Hours per Week

The post holder will be the Social Care point of contact for Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP) and work closely with Children & Families’ staff to ensure our contribution to the development and review of EHCP’s is robust and highlights the voice and lived experience of the child. This will involve working closely with Education colleagues and external professionals, as well as the social work teams. As part of the role, the post holder will promote social work understanding of EHCP’s, working closely with Education colleagues to promote outcome focused planning and to identify/meet training needs of Social Care staff in relation to this.



Key Requirements

As this is a new role, there will be room for creativity and the successful post holder will have opportunity to influence the role and how it develops. We are, therefore, looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker with an interest in children with additional needs and working closely in the co-production of plans to meet holistic need.

  • Professional Social Work qualification (MA/B A/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW))
  • HCPC registration
