North Warwickshire Borough Council is committed to providing an excellent maintenance service for our tenants. Following a recent re-organisation of the team opportunities have arisen for motivated and experienced individuals as part of our in house service.
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced multi skilled Plumber to work in our Housing Direct Works team. The post involves undertaking a variety of jobs including day to day routine repairs, remedial maintenance in our vacant properties and works to replace bathroom facilities. Experience of providing wet room facilities would be an advantage. All of our tradesmen are expected to provide workmanship to a high quality and have a positive attitude towards our tenants.
Working 37 hours per week, the role also includes out of office hours duties as part of an agreed rota.
A vehicle is provided with the post therefore a full valid driving licence is required.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and, as such, appointment will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service, before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions. A Standard Disclosure will be required.
