Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP)
We are seeking a part time qualified AMHP/Senior Mental Health Social Worker to join our Community Recovery Service - Dudley South (Mental Health) to work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team within an integrated service. This is an 18.5 hours per week permanent post.
We are looking to appoint a part time Social Worker who is an Approved Mental Health Professional - AMHP (or will be required to undertake the training at the earliest opportunity to obtain AMHP status) who is dedicated to the Care Programme Approach (CPA) and who can demonstrate an understanding of the Recovery Model and Social Inclusion. You will need to demonstrate significant experience of mental health work and a working knowledge and understanding of personalisation, the Care Act, the Mental Health Act and the Mental Capacity Act.
The successful candidate will be expected to have a working knowledge of psychosocial intervention with a particular emphasis on issues relating to the individual/carer’s health and social needs. You will be expected to maintain care co-ordinator responsibilities for an agreed number of service users and this is a major part of the role.
In return you will receive ongoing support and regular supervision. There will also be opportunities to develop your clinical and professional practice. The fundamental ethos within this team is a commitment to provide a safe, sound and supportive service, which embraces the holistic approach of care.
You will be employed by DMBC and work under a secondment within the Dudley And Walsall Mental Health Partnership Trust. We would be looking for someone to work the second half of the week.
