Area Planning Officer
Malvern Hills District Council is a small but progressive local authority, situated in one of the Country's most attractive areas. We are passionate about delivering significant housing and employment growth, whilst at the same time protecting our special natural and historic environment in this part of south Worcestershire.
The Development Management Team is playing a central role in meeting these challenges to ensure that our communities can look forward to a sustainable future. We are in the fortunate position of having an up to date development plan and we are able to demonstrate a deliverable 5 year housing land supply.
The district contains a wide variety of high quality landscapes, the Malvern Hills AONB, some 21 Conservation Areas and around 1900 Listed Buildings. It is also a great place to live with the Malvern Hills, the Cotswolds and Forest of Dean on the doorstep and easy access to Worcester, Birmingham, Gloucester, Cheltenham and beyond!
At Malvern Hills District Council, we are passionate about providing flexible working opportunities to all of our staff including flexible hours and some home-working.
