Rugby Children’s Team is based at Oakfield Park, Bilton Road, Rugby. The administration team is comprised of the Team Administrator, Two Deputy Team Administrators and nine Administrative officers who provide administrative support to the Children’s Safeguarding and Support Team, the Assessment and Intervention Team and the Specialist Intervention Teams based at Oakfield Park and Clifton Road.

The Role

We’re looking for an Administrative Assistant to join us.

Joining our team you’ll be responsible for providing general and administrative duties to support social work managers and staff as well as answering the phones and greeting customers and visitors to our department. You’ll be assisting with organising and minuting meetings and diary management; sorting and distributing the post and updating our databases. In addition you’ll be undertaking routine financial processes and help with other duties as directed.

Key Requirements 

You will need a high level of keyboard skills and be competent in the use of computerised systems. You will have an ability to communicate effectively within the team and with the public, professionals and clients. You should be able to work flexibly within the team, exercising confidentiality at all times. You should be organised and able to work as part of a team whilst working in a varied and interesting environment.

You will need to have good and accurate literacy, numeracy and administrative skills and the ability to analyse information to solve general queries.

Good planning and organising skills are key for this role and you should be used to working under pressure to meet deadlines allowing flexibility and resilience.
