We are looking for an experienced ICT Infrastructure professional to join a successful team of Infrastructure specialists, with broad knowledge of ICT infrastructure based around Linux, Windows and various Virtualisations.

We have recently built and migrated to, a cutting edge, Tier 3 design, highly available, energy efficient Data Centre employing the latest technologies in SAN including solid state with fibre channel networking, and server Virtualisation including HyperV, VMWare and OraVM.

The ICT Infrastructure supports some 8500 users across the borough with a unique approach to hybrid Infrastructure; bridging on premise with cloud applications.

With an IT degree or professional qualification, or the ability to demonstrate through extended relevant experience the necessary specialist knowledge to undertake the full duties of the post, you will also have:

• Substantial experience of working with hardware and software in a Microsoft Windows environment

• Experience of working as part of a highly professional team

• An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server

• A strong working knowledge of server virtualisation principally but not limited to Hyper-V

• The ability to negotiate and liaise with 3rd party suppliers as well as internal customers

• The ability to be self motivated and work with minimum supervision in a performance driven environment against specific targets.
