LEADER Project Manager
29.60 hours per week
(Temporary Contract to end on or before 31st March 2020)
North Warwickshire and Hinckley and Bosworth have a joint programme for the distribution of approximately £1.2 million of European funding through the LEADER programme. This funding is being used to develop and support projects that contribute to growing the rural economy in the two boroughs.
The LEADER Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the diverse programme, ensuring that the Local Development Strategy is cost-effectively delivered. Applicants must have well developed managerial and interpersonal skills, and be able to form positive relationships with people at all levels, including the LEADER Development Officer. Close attention to detail, experience of project management and a good understanding of both partnership work and external funding are essential. You must also be literate and numerate, with a good understanding of Microsoft office packages.
Applicants for this interesting and challenging position will need a flexible approach to working hours, as evening and weekend work will be required. Access to transport for use at work and a valid current driving licence is essential.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and, as such, appointment will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service, before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions. An Enhanced Disclosure will be required.
