Learning Support Assistant (Learner Specific)

£16,932-£22,607 per annum.

This is a fixed term position for two academic years (2018/19 & 2019/20). The job is attached to a specific learner and will come to an end when either the learner leaves the academy or if their Education Health Care Plan is taken away.

Academy term time only (200 days per academic year), working hours from 8:20 am until 5:10 pm Monday to Thursday with a 3:55 pm finish on Friday.

The JCB Academy was established in September 2010, the first of a brand new kind of school in the UK, with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering and business education.

Since opening we have been consistently successful - our first Ofsted inspection, in May 2014, recognised us as a “Good” school with “outstanding” features, including progress in mathematics, engineering and vocational courses and the dedication to keeping students safe and secure.  Pupil numbers are growing - we have been oversubscribed every year, including for entry this September.

We are looking for an adaptable and committed individual to provide support for a specific learner with an Educational Health Care Plan. Your responsibilities will include supporting the learner so that he is fully included within the academy and is able to access the curriculum and make progress, acting as a key point of contact for the family and providing support to other learners especially those with Special Educational Needs.

For further details and an application pack, please visit our website www.jcbacademy.com or alternatively contact recruitment@jcbacademy.com for more information.

Interviews will be held on Tuesday, 25 September 2018.

Please return your completed application to recruitment.@jcbacademy.com by 9:00 am on the closing date.

All appointments are subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
