St Mary’s Catholic Primary Academy, part of Pope John XXIII Multi Academy Company (MAC) is seeking an inspiring Teaching Assistant to support one of our pupils with their learning on a 1-2-1 basis.  The pupil has mild learning and behaviour difficulties and has just been awarded an EHCP with significant funding attached.

You will have a passion for working with young people and an ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.  You will be in a position to have a significant impact on the life chances of a young person who has already made good progress over the last 12 months.

Preferably you will have experience in a similar role, however this is not essential.

We are looking for someone who is professional, engaging, dynamic and eager to contribute to the spiritual and academic development of the young people in our school.

We can offer a supportive working environment, where all staff are valued and where there are opportunities for professional development, including that of a strong membership in Pope John XXIII Catholic Multi Academy Company which helps us to share best practice and ideas.

Informal visits to the school are encouraged and can be arranged by calling Daniel Belcher, HR Officer on 01902 558569.

We reserve the right to close this advert early should a suitable candidate be found.

Pope John XXIII Catholic MAC are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.  All appointments will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
