Are you a qualified Best Interest Assessor with at least two years post qualification experience in your field? Do you have considerable experience of completing health/social care assessments, knowledge or the care planning process and significant experience of working with adults without capacity to make decisions? If so, then we have an exciting opportunity for a fixed term post until September 2019 and a permanent post as a Senior Best Interest Assessor in the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) team at Worcestershire County Council based at County Hall, Worcester.

As a Senior Best Interest Assessor you will be undertaking Best Interest Assessments, as well as undertaking developmental work which will include updating processes and procedures in line with case law and providing support to both Best Interest Assessors (BIA) and Social Work Teams in relation to the application of the Mental Capacity Act.
