Parent Liaison and Nurture Support

GR3 (£19,430 - £24,964)

36.5 hours a week, term time only

Yarnfield Primary School

We are looking for an individual to support the nurture provision across the school and liaise with parents of vulnerable pupils to support their engagement with their child’s learning and contribute to/lead meetings with parents to provide constructive feedback on pupil progress, achievement and behaviour, maintaining sensitivity and confidentiality at all times.  Duties will include:

•          With the support of the VP, identify key pupils, assess key pupils needs, and evaluate the impact of intervention with those pupils through maintaining a provision map for nurture/learning mentor programmes.

•          Assess pupils’ responses to learning tasks and where appropriate, modify methods to meet individual and/or group needs.

•          Monitor pupils’ participation and progress and provide constructive feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.

•          Assist in maintaining and analysing records of pupils’ progress relating to nurture and learning mentor programmes.

•          Contribute to programmes of observation and assessment as planned by the teacher and provide reports, evaluations and other information to assist in the provision of appropriate support for specific children.
