Business Support Officer
Warwickshire County Council are hosting the regional adoption service which covers the local authority areas of Coventry, Solihull, Worcestershire and Warwickshire.
Our Business Support Team are the first point of contact with the service and have a crucial role in ensuring the service operates efficiently in covering a wide range of functions. This includes a service to anyone enquiring about adoption or any other person who is, or has been, affected by adoption.
22.5 Hours per Week
Successful applicants will be involved in supporting a duty/referral process which will include responding to telephone and web based enquiries and inputting information onto the client record system. The Business Support Team are integral to the work of the service and additional tasks include supporting meetings and training events, data inputting, dealing with correspondence, dealing with a large volume of administrative tasks to support ACE Social Workers and the adoption process.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated administrator who will have a keen interest in this work and a commitment to help the service develop successfully. You will need to be able to work in a busy environment and be willing to work flexibly using your initiative. You will need to be a confident computer user, having good literacy, numeracy and people skills.
A commitment to ensuring that your work is accurate and of good quality will also be important. You will need the ability to cope in situations where there is an emotional demand arising from the work being undertaken.
