Senior Accounting Technician
37.0 Hours per Week
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounting Technician to join our highly regarded Financial Operations Division to work with and support the Managed Growth & Communities Team responsible for delivering major projects that seek to secure future economic success; improve the environment; and provide stronger communities for Solihull and the West Midlands Region.
As Senior Accounting Technician you will play a key role in providing a range of financial, administrative and technical functions. You will work closely with your customers throughout the financial cycle to provide comprehensive financial advice and support, identify savings, budget setting, perform monthly monitoring and close the accounts.
We are looking for someone with experience of working in a professional finance environment, including preparing budgets and monitoring, forecasting, analysing and reconciling complex data will be critical. You will also have:
- 5 GCSEs including Maths and English Language A*-C or 4-9 (or equivalent level 2 qualification)
- Full membership MAAT (or equivalent)
- Excellent IT skills with significant experience of using Excel (or equivalent) to analyse and interpret complex data
- Strong numeracy, financial and analytical skills
- Effective Organisation skills, able to plan and prioritise own work load
