CCTV Operator (Casual)
Stratford upon Avon District Council is seeking to recruit a CCTV Operator, on a casual contract to cover leave, sickness and peak periods.
You will be joining our CCTV team operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week shift system.
Your duties will include monitoring over 80 CCTV cameras located in eight towns throughout the District. You will be working alongside other agencies and will deal with CCTV media management and legal documentation. Excellent observation and communication skills, both verbal and written, knowledge of computer based technology and the ability to recall information accurately are essential. Full training will be given on the specifics of the Council system.
A current Security Industry Authority (S.I.A.) Licence for CCTV Operator and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Public Space Surveillance (PSS) environment is required. Successful applicants will be subject to police and security industry checks and a full employment and credit check. The Council may consider applications from applicants with experience of CCTV monitoring but who have not yet achieved their SIA CCTV Licence but are willing to undertake training to achieve it (if you wish to be considered on this basis, please state ‘Trainee CCTV Operator’ on your application).
The post requires the successful applicant to provide holiday, sickness and peak demand cover for the CCTV Operators. Holiday pay will be in addition to the rate payable for hours actually worked.
