Business Support Officer

We would like to appoint a well-motivated person to be part of a busy team providing support services to Team Managers in Children's Social Care. We are seeking someone who can provide a range of business support activities to enable the service to meet its statutory obligations and provide timely and effective services to children, young people and their families.
Your role and responsibilities will encompass interesting, varied and challenging tasks where effective communication, organisation and flexibility would be paramount. You will take the lead for delegated work activity relevant to the specific service areas being supported.
The BSO is expected to work closely alongside the Team Manager in order for to the manager to ensure that tasks are undertaken to monitor and improve the running of the team. Lots of patience and a flexible approach to work are required. It is important to note that the BSO is not only part of the Safeguarding Service itself but also a member of the wider BSO team. A good attitude to teamwork, an enthusiasm for working creatively and co-operatively and a commitment to healthy challenge without conflict is essential
Reliability, ability to work individually and as part of a team, effective time management skills, computer literacy and the ability to prioritise your own workload are essential key qualities for this post.
