Little Stars Day are looking to recruit a Nursery Assistant to join our team. Candidates must have a full and relevant level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare and have excellent knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Little Stars Day Nursery was graded ‘Good’ in our recent Ofsted inspection. We are now looking for inspiring staff to work with us on our journey to Outstanding.
You must have minimum of two years experience of working with children from birth to 8 years with some experience of child protection and safeguarding. Experience of working with children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities would be advantageous. Please refer to the person specification and job description for further details.
The successful candidate will need to be creative, hard working, a team player and have a passion for working with children from birth – 8 years. What is involved in the role?
This is an exciting opportunity to develop our under 2’s area with a focus on creating and maintaining a quality environment and experience for the children and families.
You must be able to work well in a team and confident to provide exciting learning opportunities for the children in our care, good communication skills and able to follow the EYFS and key-person system.
You will work with young children from birth to 8 years in our childcare settings.
You must make sure that the children under your care develop and learn in a safe and supportive environment.
You will need a warm and positive approach, lots of creative ideas and a willingness to work as part of a team as well as lead a team.
Your duties include acting as a key worker for a group of children, monitoring their progress and sharing information about their development with their parents and/or carers.

Band B, SCP 9 to 13, £16,755 to £17,391 pro rata (£8.68 to £9.01 per hour plus a Living Wage supplement to £8.75 per hour)
