Comprising Meadowside, Uttoxeter & Shobnall Leisure Centres, the Brewhouse Arts Centre, Burton Market Hall, Burton Town Hall, parks & open spaces and Sports Development, Cultural Services offers a variety of opportunities to further your career.

Uttoxeter Leisure Centre is one of the finest Centres in the region. It features a 25m swimming pool, a sports hall and dance studio, a fitness suite, café & Creche.

We are looking for a leisure professional to join the Centre’s management team. You will play a key part in the day to day operation of the Centre, as well as responsibility for increasing membership numbers, managing and delivering Health and Wellbeing programmes, organising and promoting the sports development programme and children’s holiday activities.

You will ideally hold or be working towards a relevant degree or leisure qualification e.g. ISRM Diploma and also the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualification. It would be an advantage to have the ISRM Pool Plant Operators Certificate and First Aid at Work. Previous duty manager, marketing and programming experience is also desirable.

Previous experience in a supervisory position, managing/directing staff and dealing with customers.
Able to develop and monitor budgets and where necessary take remedial action.
Cash handling.
Resolving complaints.
A detailed knowledge and awareness of a Leisure Centre environment.
Chairing meetings, liaising with external partners, working with colleagues in senior positions.
