Teaching Assistant – Part Time (Fixed Term)

Required from September 2018

Grade 2 Term Time only, NOR: 195

The Governors are looking to appoint a part-time Teaching Assistant on a fixed term contract ending 19th July 2019. This post will include:-

 Working 15 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 10.15am to 1.15pm) to support learning within Reception Class to provide an excellent start to pupils’ education and preparing for transition to Year 1.

 Provide appropriate support to a specific pupil in relation to their individual needs and abilities.

 Assist in matters of personal need and general health including first aid and welfare matters.

 Accompany staff and children on visits, trips and out of school activities as required.

 Encourage child to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.

 Is fully supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school.

We are looking for someone who is:

 Friendly, caring and loves working with children.

 Has achieved NVQ level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent or is willing to work towards this qualification.

 Has recent, relevant experience

 Has experience of working with SEN pupils.
